We were built by people who ran factories, restructured logistics networks, and launched products — before we ever wrote a slide deck for someone else.
Berg Partners was founded in Munich in 2009 by Dr. Marlene Kessler and four colleagues who had spent the previous decade inside some of Europe's most complex industrial organisations. The pattern they kept seeing was the same: smart recommendations, poor implementation, zero capability transfer.
They built Berg Partners to do the opposite. Every engagement is designed to leave the client more capable than they were before — not more dependent on outside help. That principle has not changed in 15 years.
Today the firm operates from Munich and Frankfurt, with 84 partners and principals working across industrial, logistics, and technology sectors in 14 countries.
"We had seen too many reports gather dust. We wanted to build something that stayed on the factory floor until it worked."
We work inside the operation, not above it. Our principals are on-site until the change is real — not until the presentation is finished.
01Every engagement ends with the client stronger and more capable. We measure success by how quickly they no longer need us.
02We do not offer generic frameworks. Every recommendation is built for the specific system, the specific constraint, and the specific moment.
03We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. That is why 91% of our clients come back — and why some don't.
